Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2019 Ford F-250 is a heavy-duty pickup truck that comes in six trim levels: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. You can further customize the truck with a regular cab, SuperCab, or crew cab, and you have your choice of a 6.8 or 8.2-foot bed. Exterior equipment on the base XL trim includes a removable locking tailgate, 17-inch steel wheels, telescoping towing mirrors, a 2.5-inch trailer hitch receiver with a 2-inch insert, and manual front-locking hubs (with four-wheel drive). The XLT adds power-adjustable and heated side mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators, 18-inch alloy wheels, locking cleats in the bed, and keyless entry. With the Lariat, you'll get power-folding side mirrors, a power-sliding rear window, an auto-dimming side mirror on the driver's side, and tubular side steps. The King Ranch is the Western-themed trim level with unique styling elements, automatic wipers, its own set of alloy wheels, and LED box lighting. Select the Platinum trim for 20-inch alloy wheels, automatic wipers, remote tailgate release with a built-in step, LED headlights, and power running boards. At the top of the list is the Limited, which has a panoramic sunroof.
Engine (Power)
The Ford F-250 is also available with two engine choices. The first is a 6.2-liter gas-powered V-8 unit that pumps out 430 pound-feet of torque and 385 horsepower. If you want more power, opt for the available 6.7-liter turbocharged diesel-powered V-8 that rates at 450 horsepower and 935 pound-feet of torque. Both engine options pair with a six-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
For all trims, rear-wheel drive is standard, and four-wheel drive is available as an option. When properly equipped with the Trailer Tow Package High Capacity and the diesel-powered engine, this truck can tow up to 21,000 pounds conventionally, 27,500 pounds with a fifth-wheel, and 34,000 pounds with a gooseneck towing configuration. The maximum payload is 7,630 pounds.
Interior
Within the cabin of the XL, features include vinyl upholstery, a driver information display screen, a four-speaker audio system, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel. The XLT adds power locks and windows, rear privacy glass, cloth upholstery, and Ford's Sync infotainment system. The Lariat comes with dual-zone automatic climate control, power front seats, Ford's Sync 3 infotainment system, leather upholstery, an 8-inch touch screen, two household-style power outlets, and a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system. Choose the King Ranch to get heated and ventilated front seats, driver's seat memory settings, a power-adjustable steering wheel, navigation, and upgraded leather upholstery. The Platinum boasts multi-contoured front seats, while the top Limited has two-tone leather and unique interior accents.
Safety Features
Every 2019 Ford F-250 truck comes equipped with air bags throughout the cabin, a rearview camera, anti-lock brakes, and traction and stability control. The Platinum and Limited trims come with blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. A separate rearview camera that you can mount on a trailer is also available as an optional upgrade.
