2020 Ford Escape

The 2020 Ford Escape comes in five trim levels, each offering unique features that guarantee an amazing user experience. The trim levels include the Escape S, SE, SE Sport, SEL and Titanium. The biggest difference in these trim levels is that the Titanium and SE Sport Trims are hybrid options, combining electric with fuel power.

The engine has some differences based on the trims. The S, SE, and SEL have 1.5-liter three-cylinder engines with 180 horsepower, while the SEL and Titanium trims offer 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines with 250 horsepower. As expected, the three-cylinder engines deliver less power than the four-cylinder engines. The new Ford Escape adds to its ultra-modern feel with its available hybrid options in the Titanium and SE Sport trims. In these models, a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine provides fuel power and lithium-ion powered batteries supplement with electric power.

The Escape is a small crossover that gives you over 40 mpg in combined driving with no plug-in needed. The transmission is another impressive part of the 2020 Ford Escape's performance. Rather than a shift stick, it's controlled by turning the knob. Performance-wise, the transmission helps you conserve fuel by shifting a little early.

The first thing you'll notice inside all Ford Escape trim levels is the relative quietness inside. It's so much quieter than the 2019 model due to better sealing of the interior, acoustic laminated windows, and an isolated sub-frame. Even while on the highway, wind noise is reduced. The Escape is also quite balanced around turns due to its low center of gravity. There is room for five passengers in the 2020 Ford Escape, and both the leather and synthetic upholstery options are designed to remain comfortable during many hours of driving. The heated steering wheel and front seats with individual controls are a plus during the colder months. The front seat on the passenger side has its rear caved in a bit to accommodate people with longer legs in the back. The rear seats can also be slid back and forth to create more cargo space. For maximum cargo allowance, simply pull the lever to fold the back seats over.

The 2020 Ford Escape comes with a plethora of safety features, including lane-centering assist, evasive steering assist, adaptive cruise control, and a unique car unlocking system. The unlocking system gives you the option of typing in a unique code to unlock the car rather than using the remote. The numbers appear on the door panel area where you tap the correct code. Additionally, the adaptive cruise control increases or decreases the car's speed relative to the position of other vehicles on the road.
