2021 Ford SuperDuty
Ford's F-150 is the best-selling full-size truck of all time, but for those who need a little more power, the truck is available in F-250, F-350, and F-450 SuperDuty variants. For the 2021 model year, there are only a few changes to the SuperDuty. Antimatter Blue, Carbonized Gray, and Lithium Gray are now available on all models. The XL Power Equipment option adds heated trailer-tow mirrors and manual folding-and-telescoping functions to base models with the dual-rear-wheel axle. Lastly, a bed step is now available on all models.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
Apart from F-250, F-350, and F-450 sizes, the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited are the trim levels available for the 2021 SuperDuty. There are three cab styles: Regular Cab, an extended SuperCab, and a SuperCrew, which can be paired with either a 6.8- or an 8.2-foot bed.
The XL model comes standard with a black painted steel front and rear bumper with 18-inch cast-aluminum wheels with brilliant center caps, along with black tow hooks. Each trim is unique, and as an example of higher trims, the classy Platinum adds front and rear body-colored bumpers, door handles with chrome pull handles, and 20-inch wheels.
Engine (Power)
For 2021, the Ford SuperDuty has a robust lineup of powerful engines. For demanding everyday chores, the 7.3-liter gas V-8 provides durability and performance, while the next-generation PowerStroke 6.7-liter V-8 is more powerful than ever and comes in a diesel version as well. All options are equipped with a TorqShift 10-speed automatic transmission.
Performance
Increased size doesn't have to be a shortcoming for regular, everyday driving. Be it comfort, ease of handling, or control, the 2021 Ford SuperDuty won't disappoint drivers or passengers. The acceleration is quick and active in relation to the size of truck, cab, and engine you choose. With a standard hitch, the most powerful Super Duty F-450 can tow up to 24,200 pounds, and with a fifth-wheel and gooseneck hitch, it can tow up to 37,000 pounds.
Interior
With a sleek dash design and an ergonomic layout, form and function thrive as one inside the SuperDuty's cabin. Even the most basic F-250 interiors set the same modern, plush level of comfort and detail that the F-150 has set for full-size trucks. Black vinyl upholstery is standard in the XL trim, while the rest of the trims have color-coordinated carpet flooring. Those who want to fit the most passengers possible will want the SuperCrew, which can hold six.
Except for the base XL, all Super Duty models come standard with an 8.0-inch touch-screen infotainment system and are packed with amenities like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Wi-Fi hot spot functionality. It can also be upgraded with a B&O (Bang & Olufsen) 10-speaker stereo and SiriusXM satellite radio (three months included).
Safety Features
Ford, well-known for treating customers like family, continues to showcase plenty of safety features on the F-250 and up, from stability and traction control to an anti-theft system. The F-350 includes a rearview camera and automatic headlights. Higher models and trims may also include more and more advanced technology for towing heavier loads or other common situations.
