Trim Levels (Exterior)
The 2022 Ford F-150 offers eight different trims you can choose from. The basic models are the XL and XLT, and as you move up in trims, you'll find the Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, Tremor, and Raptor. The XL trim offers 17-inch steel wheels, while the other trims offer 17-inch aluminum wheels with upgrade options.
Though standard with trims on the Lariat and above, LED headlights and taillights are available for all vehicles. The sleek exterior also comes with a double black bar grille for the lower trims that becomes more rugged as you move up, ending with the custom block lettering on the Raptor.
Engine (Power)
The XL and XLT come standard with a 3.3-liter, six-cylinder engine that puts out 290 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. The Lariat gets a more powerful engine with the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6 engine that creates 325 horsepower and 400 pound-feet of torque. There are four more engines for the higher trims and optional upgrades, including a TI-VCT 5.0-liter V-8, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6, a 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid V-6, and the most powerful high-output 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 that creates 450 horsepower. These come in rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel drive options.
Performance
You can explore different driving modes like normal, eco, sport, tow/haul, slippery, and trail, which can help your vehicle adapt to different weather conditions or surfaces. The four-wheel-drive option comes with additional modes for deep snow or sand and mud or rut handling. One of the most essential features of the 2022 F-150 is its ability to carry or tow large weights. This vehicle can tow up to 14,000 pounds with a maximum payload of 3,325 pounds.
Interior
You can choose several cab sizes in the 2022 F-150 like the three-seated regular cab or the six-seated super cab or super crew, depending on your needs. These interiors come with standard technology, like an 8-inch screen and a dashboard that measures your fuel, oil pressure, engine coolant temperature, and other vehicle information.
