It holds on to its roots as a steel-bodied, good, old-fashioned pickup truck, but with several updates that are bound to excite. Here are some features of the new 2019 Ford Ranger you can look forward to. Unique Powertrain The 2019 Ford Ranger keeps it simple by only offering one engine in all of the Ranger trims. A 2.3-liter, inline, four-cylinder engine with Eco Boost and a 10-speed automatic transmission is built to put out 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. With a forged crankshaft, connecting road, and double-roller timing chain, this engine is made for life inside a pickup.
