A Truck That Looks Really Good
The F-250, F-350, and F-450 are all available in multiple trim levels: the XL, XLT, LARIAT, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Further customize your truck with your choice between cabin sizes: the regular cab, SuperCab, and crew cab. You’ll also get to choose between the 6-foot-9-inch or 8-foot bed. Engine and Performance
The 2020 F-250 and above have three engine options for the new model year. The standard engine for the F-250 and F-350 is a 6.2-liter flex-fuel gasoline-powered V-8 engine that produces 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. This engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission.
To boost your gasoline power levels, upgrade to the 7.3-liter OHV PFI V-8, which gives you 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque to play with. If you want the greatest low-end strength, go diesel with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel that packs 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque, both of which are best-in-class numbers. Both these engines are paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The main difference between the F-series is how much each can tow. For the greatest towing capacity, choose the F-450. It has a maximum conventional towing capacity of 24,300 pounds that can get your toughest jobs done. Hook up the gooseneck, and you’ll get a 37,000-pound tow rating — yet another best-in-class feat.
The gasoline V-8 outperforms the competition when it comes to towing — the stronger of the two pulls off a best-in-class 21,000-pound tow rating. In addition to these ratings, the Super Duty also has a best-in-class 7,850-pound payload capacity.
