The ever-reliable workhorse is back to maintain its place at the head of the heavy-duty truck world. The 2020 Ford Super Duty is a workforce on wheels and brings with it the same high levels of capability and muscle we’ve come to respect it for.

A Truck That Looks Really Good

The F-250, F-350, and F-450 are all available in multiple trim levels: the XL, XLT, LARIAT, King Ranch, Platinum, and Limited. Further customize your truck with your choice between cabin sizes: the regular cab, SuperCab, and crew cab. You’ll also get to choose between the 6-foot-9-inch or 8-foot bed. The final touch is choosing between the single-rear wheel or dual-rear wheels.

Engine and Performance

The 2020 F-250 and above have three engine options for the new model year. The standard engine for the F-250 and F-350 is a 6.2-liter flex-fuel gasoline-powered V-8 engine that produces 385 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque. This engine is matched with a six-speed automatic transmission.

To boost your gasoline power levels, upgrade to the 7.3-liter OHV PFI V-8, which gives you 430 horsepower and 475 pound-feet of torque to play with. If you want the greatest low-end strength, go diesel with the 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbo-diesel that packs 475 horsepower and 1,050 pound-feet of torque, both of which are best-in-class numbers. Both these engines are paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The main difference between the F-series is how much each can tow. For the greatest towing capacity, choose the F-450. It has a maximum conventional towing capacity of 24,300 pounds that can get your toughest jobs done. Hook up the gooseneck, and you’ll get a 37,000-pound tow rating — yet another best-in-class feat.

The gasoline V-8 outperforms the competition when it comes to towing — the stronger of the two pulls off a best-in-class 21,000-pound tow rating. In addition to these ratings, the Super Duty also has a best-in-class 7,850-pound payload capacity.

Riding High With a Stylish Interior

Inside, you’ll find that the 2020 Ford Heavy Duty is designed with you in mind. As you move up trim levels, the creature comforts and luxurious add up. If you want to treat you and your crew to a first-class treatment while your truck does the heavy lifting, opt for the Limited. It gives your cabin a slick-looking leather-interior, heated seats, powered side steps, and more.

The King Ranch gives you all you need to take your work to the next level — premium leather, a heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, woodgrain applique, and more. You decide the best level of luxury your truck needs to make for your best driving experience.

Safety Where it Matters Most

The array of advanced driver-assist systems makes the 2020 Ford Heavy Duty as smart as it is strong. These sought-after modern safety systems include a pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking system, adaptive cruise control with forward-collision warning and brake support, Ford’s Blind Spot Information System, a lane-keeping system, and more. A modern work truck should keep you and your crew safe in modern ways — the 2020 Ford Heavy Duty does just that.
