2019 Ford Fiesta in Detroit, MI | Pat Milliken FordThe fact is that the 2019 Ford Fiesta is regarded as one of the best subcompact cars on the market. Despite this, Ford has decided to fade out its production of sedans and hatchbacks over the next few years. Regardless of potential future models, today’s Fiesta offers excellent fuel economy, a comfortable interior, and savvy tech features, all at a very affordable price. Here is some more information on the impressive 2019 Ford Fiesta.

Trim Levels and Configurations

The Ford Fiesta is available in either a sedan or a hatchback body shape, with the hatchback shape offering a slightly bigger cargo space. Four trims are available: S, SE, ST-Line, and ST, with the sedan model only featuring in the first two trims, and the hatchback in the upper three trims. This means that the 2019 version of the Fiesta has dropped the S trim for the hatchback, and has also said goodbye to the luxe Titanium trim.

Power and Performance

Two engines are featured with the 2019 Fiesta. The standard engine on the S, SE, and ST-Line trims is a 1.6-liter Ti-VCT I-4, married to a five-speed manual transmission, producing 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque. The optional engine, which comes standard on the high-output ST trim, is a 1.6-liter EcoBoost, paired with a six-speed manual transmission, generating 197 horsepower and 202 pound-feet of torque. Both engines can be optioned with a six-speed automatic.

The Fiesta delivers decent performance, offering sporty handling in turns and responsive steering. It also delivers great fuel economy. The standard AdvanceTrac Stability Control system automatically controls the brakes and engine torque when wheel slip is detected, while the Anti-Lock Brake system manages braking effectively in icy or rainy conditions. The ST trim gets a unique sport-tuned suspension, as well as a standard Torque Vectoring Control system for superior control around those tight corners.

Comfortable Interior With Great Tech Features

The interior of the Fiesta can easily accommodate five adults and offers versatile cargo space with its 60/40 split-folding rear seat. The two lower trims come with cloth upholstery, a standard rearview camera, cruise control, hill-start assist, MyKey parental control system, and the basic SYNC infotainment system with Bluetooth and a USB port.

The two higher trims add ambient lighting, a leather-wrapped shift knob, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, heated mirrors, and driver lumbar support. They also offer the SYNC 3 system that offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, SiriusXM, and an eight-speaker premium Sony audio system.

Optional features include a sunroof and navigation system, and you can opt for the Cold Weather package that will give you heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors, and electronic automatic temperature control.

The 2019 Ford Fiesta has a lot to offer at an affordable price; excellent fuel efficiency, good performance, a comfortable interior, as well as impressive tech features. If you feel like taking one of these babies for a spin, pop in at Pat Milliken Ford.
